INTRODUCTION
Social protection has been practiced and continues to be practiced in low and middle income countries. Some of the social protection regulations are strict on social security based on contribution but some are developed based on noncontributory. Due to the complexity of the administration and management, operation of social protection required more specific skills. GIZ (the German Federal Enterprise for International Cooperation) has been supporting some ASEAN countries with the training in some European countries.
However, the previous International Social Protection Studies (ISPS) did not provide specific content social protection in ASEAN countries. While some experiences of some ASEAN countries are also important for other countries. To optimize the ILT program, Universitas Indonesia and University of Heidelberg are conducting a special training with emphasize on experience in ASEAN countries. In order to expand the opportunity to learn social protection in Indonesia in particular and in ASEAN countries in general, the the Center for Social Security Studies Graduate School of Multidisciplinary Studies Universitas Indonesia (CSSSUI) is offering 2 (two) months courses in Jakarta with the following information.
SHORT COURSE OBJECTIVES
By the end of the short course, participants will be able to :
1. Conduct risk analysis in social
2. Evaluate existing social protection program in respected
3. Describe the impact of demography, migration, labor structure and pensions on the macro economic developm
4. Propose alternatives or improvements of social protection scheme
5. Appraise the pros and cons of public and private pension sy
TIME AND VENUE
The short course will be conducted for 2 (two) months from August 8th – October 7th, 2016 at the Graduate School of Multidisciplinary Studies Building Universitas Indonesia, Jl. Salemba Raya 4 Jakarta 10430.
